Cats and video games?! Opened in August 2017, The Catcade is a new twist on animal rescue.
A $15 donation to the Lakeview shelter allows visitors a one-hour session in the lounge. There, they can sip on a complimentary beverage, play several arcade machines, catch a flick, and cuddle with as many cats as they desire.
Of course, the cuddles don’t have to stop at the end of the session. Visitors can adopt a cat for a nominal fee. All of the funds collected through adoptions and the lounge go right back into the non-profit to rescue additional cats.
The Catcade also hosts a variety of events including cat yoga, blanket fort movie nights and upcoming singles nights.
